This is a large chest that holds a lot, heavy weight, very sturdy an attractive. We thought it was easy to assemble, I dont know why others had so many problems, were not really very "handy" an it went together in less than an hour. We think it was a very good value. Shipped very promptly...

I have had similar problems to many of the reviewers of this item. The glider was not packed well at all, without padding of any kind, and the bolts fixed on the end pieces caused damage to other pieces. I decided I could probably live with a scuff or two, and began my attempt to assemble the glider..

The product description clearly states that the pole is 1 7/8 inches around, but I didnt notice it, and I dont think you would either. Problem is this a larger than normal size (guessing 1 1/2) and it wont fit the hole in my brand new table or my brand new base. I noticed it as soon as I took it out..
