I bought this for my thinkpad X31 to be used as CDRW/DVD player, not so much for music listening. I got iriver cd MP3/WMA player for that. I do not think there are too many MP3/WMA player that could beat irivers feature. anyways, going back to Sony... it seems to be working fine as CD/DVD reader but..

I purchased this great Sony CD/Radio/Alarm Clock for my office. It works perfect as an office clock as the LED display is rather large and easy to read from across the room. The radio gets surprisingly good reception and my CDs sound great. Its pretty small in size, so fits perfect on my desk too.

I got this system for just a little over $100 and found it worth more than the price. Though there is no bass control, I hardly find the need to tweak the bass.
