For the money, this is the best phone system I can think of for home or small business use. The 2431 (base unit) has a speakerphone, which makes it two phones in one, as it has the ability to intercom between the base unit and the handheld. Then we bought a 2420, so we have a 3-point intercom system

I was in severe need of a good cordless phone with a Caller ID Display right on the handset (which is so conveinent). I shopped around in every possible electronics store and found nothing that I liked...all the phones were ugly and had no good features.

It is a great phone with all those features. I alway enjoy the speaker phone on my cordless phone but of late, the battery life has gone down and now I have to keep it on the charger for all the time to make even couple of calls.
